Hey Friend, It's Been a While
Back in Your Inbox: A Letter to Friends
Hey friend, it’s been a while.
First, I want to thank you for being part of this community.
Your support means the world to me, and I’m excited to reconnect.
Life has a way of sweeping us up sometimes, doesn’t it?
These past few weeks have been one of those times for me. Between work, personal projects, and the general chaos of life, I missed our weekly conversations.
But here’s the thing about busy seasons: they teach us, shape us, and often give us fresh perspectives to share.
During this pause, I’ve been spending quality time with myself—reading, reflecting, and diving into ideas that have completely shifted how I think about growth and well-being.
One of those ideas came from a book I’ve been reading: Own the Day, Own Your Life by Aubrey Marcus. In it, he talks about the Wim Hof Method, and I was instantly hooked.
If you haven’t heard of Wim Hof (aka “The Iceman”), let me tell you—his story is wild.
Imagine running a half marathon barefoot on ice or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts.
But beyond his jaw-dropping feats, what really inspired me was his approach to mental clarity and physical resilience through simple, practical techniques like breathing exercises and cold exposure.
I’ve been experimenting with his methods, and while I’m not quite ready to take an ice bath (yet!), I’m already noticing small but powerful shifts in my energy and focus.
I’ve also been exploring the Japanese concept of Ikigai—finding that sweet spot where your passion, mission, vocation, and profession intersect.
It’s all about living with purpose, and it’s given me a lot to think about.
Here’s what I’ve realized: sometimes, the pauses in our journey are just as important as the movement.
They give us space to reflect, realign, and come back stronger. That’s exactly what I’m doing now—coming back to you with renewed energy and fresh insights to share.
Starting next week, we’re back to our regular rhythm. I’ve got some exciting topics lined up, and I can’t wait to dive into them with you.
But first, I’d love to hear from you. How have the past few weeks been for you?
What’s been on your mind? What would you like us to explore together in the coming weeks?
Remember, every day is a new opportunity to restart, realign, and move forward.
That’s what I’m doing today, and I’m so grateful to have you here with me.
Here’s to new beginnings and consistent connections.
With warmth,
Uthman
