One Step Back, Two Steps Forward: Progress Explained

Hey there

We often underestimate the work required to achieve success.

It’s easy to look at someone who’s made it and think it was a smooth, straightforward journey.

But the truth is, success—whatever that means to you—requires a lot more than what meets the eye.

The path to success is rarely linear.

It’s filled with moments of self-doubt, the overwhelming amount of things to learn, and the constant pressure to stay in learning mode.

It can feel like a battle every single day, but that’s just the surface.

Between where you are now and where you want to be, there’s a lot that happens.

It’s a process of failing, trying again, and sometimes feeling like you’re moving backward more than forward.

There are days when it feels like for every step you take, you’re pushed two steps back.

And rightfully so, but you have to keep showing up, day after day, no matter how hard it gets.

It’s this relentless commitment to your goals, despite the setbacks, that eventually leads to greatness.

The journey is full of ups and downs, and it’s rarely a straight shot to the top.

I think that’s probably one of the shockers i have had to realise on this path.

But if you keep pushing, keep learning, and keep showing up, you’ll eventually get to where you want to be.

So, the next time you feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work ahead, remember that you’re not alone.

Keep going, because it’s the persistence and resilience that truly define success.

Take it one day at a time, and never stop showing up for yourself.

with you on this journey, always
