Why You Need to Be a Little Delulu to Win
Be Delusional
Delulu Is the Solulu
I came across a quote this week that stopped me in my tracks:
“Life meets you at the level of your audacity.”
It stuck with me.
Then I saw a thread on X where people were sharing the most unhinged things they’ve done to get ahead.
On paper, their choices looked insane—odds stacked against them, logic screaming don’t do it.
But they still went for it.
And they won.
That’s when it clicked: most of us are playing it too safe.
Which brings me to today’s issue: Delulu is the Solulu.
Not delusional in the “ignore reality” way.
But delusional in the sense of extreme confidence—believing without question that what you want is already yours.
If your mind can picture it, it’s achievable.
The only thing in the way is the little voice whispering, “you can’t.”
Think about it—how insane did the Wright brothers look when they said humans could fly?
Completely delusional. Yet, here we are.
If you want a breakthrough, you have to be willing to go to extremes.
Play it safe, and you’ll stay stuck.
Bet on yourself—even when it feels crazy—and you’ll unlock doors you didn’t even know existed.
So here’s my reminder to you (and to myself):
Don’t wait for perfect logic.
Don’t wait for permission.
Sometimes, the only way forward is to be a little delulu.
So next time you’re about to start something and it feels daunting, let that be your signal.
That fear? That resistance? That’s proof it’s worth doing.
Trick yourself if you have to.
Stay delusional if you must.
Because nothing extraordinary comes from playing it safe.
With you on this journey,
Always.
